Yusif Meizongo Jr. is a Ghanaian entrepreneur, perfumer, and the Founder and Creative Director of Maison Yusif, a Ghanaian niche fragrance house established in 2017.
He holds a first-class degree in Public Relations from the Islamic University College, Ghana. His passion for fragrances began in childhood, eventually inspiring him to pursue a career in perfumery. After facing challenges in securing employment, Yusif ventured into entrepreneurship and initially sold perfumes from the trunk of his car.
Determined to develop his expertise, he pursued professional training in perfumery and olfaction in France, Germany, Dubai, Turkey, Cote d'Ivoire, Nigeria, Egypt and Ethiopia. He is recognised as the first West African perfumer certified as an Olfaction Trainer by the International Perfume Foundation (IPF).
Through Maison Yusif he has developed fragrances that combine African heritage, Ghanaian identity and contemporary luxury perfumery. The brand has gained recognition locally and internationally, including winning Best Niche Fragrance for "The Vatican" at the 2023 Perfumista Awards in France.
Beyond business, Yusif is passionate about youth development and social impact. Through the Home of Humanity Foundation he supports education, entrepreneurship, mentorship and community development initiatives. His journey from selling perfumes out of his car to building an internationally recognised Ghanaian fragrance house demonstrates resilience, creativity and entrepreneurial excellence.
