Richard Ohene Sika

House Lead — House of the Owl

What I hear, I keep — wisdom, knowledge

Richard Ohene Sika is an award-winning fashion educationist, talent manager, fashion consultant and entrepreneur, widely regarded for his transformative contributions to fashion education and talent development in Ghana. He is the Founder and President of Riohs College of Design, one of the country's leading institutions for creative and technical fashion training, and serves as Administrative Secretary of the National Fashion Designers Union of Ghana.

Motivated by a deep passion for art and a commitment to excellence, Richard brings extensive expertise across international garment production standards, pattern technology, digital 3D fashion, talent management and design innovation. His work reflects a strong belief in the power of education to unlock creativity, drive industry standards, and open global opportunities for African designers.

Richard has played a pivotal role in nurturing some of Ghana's most celebrated fashion talents, having trained industry leaders including Quophi Akotuah, Quame Owusu GH, Nadrey Laurent, Sima Brew, Afrakay, Nadia Ibrahim, Zaqi Africa, Elikem the Tailor, Royalty by Nanasie, Gallant Belle, Maud by Dianne, Avonsige, Sera Ban, Cosma Gh, Mayase Kh, Kojo Boadi Ghana and Sara the Dressmaker.

In 2012, recognising a gap in accessible, practical fashion education, Richard introduced Ghana's first six-month fashion design and illustration programme, a groundbreaking initiative at a time when only one-year, 18-month and traditional four-year programmes were available. His vision was to deliver intensive, world-class training within a shorter period, empowering more aspiring designers to master core concepts and launch successful careers.

Through his work, Richard Ohene Sika continues to shape the future of fashion in Ghana and beyond, inspiring a new generation to dream boldly, create fearlessly and lead with excellence.
